As a volunteer at a senior living community, I worked under Laura’s supervision. Many residents had dementia of one kind or another. Laura was so helpful in making me feel more comfortable working with them and helping me understand how to better assist them.

Laura’s approach for caregiver support is both educational and supportive. She pointed me to a variety of educational resources that were so helpful. She helped our group to understand the perspective of the dementia patient which in turn, enabled me to better understand what my mom was actually experiencing, and as a result it improved by ability to communicate with my mom in a variety of ways, that I had not considered on my own.
